BUCS
The British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS – formerly BUSA) water polo tournament is a well-established competition, widely considered the most competitive university water polo event in the UK.
The Men’s Firsts team currently competes in the Premier South League, along with Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Imperial and UWE. They won this league last year earning themselves full blues. They team hope to win again this year.
In 2018-19, the Women’s squad will be playing in the Midlands 1A league, against East Anglia, Loughborough, Nottingham, Warwick, Leicester, Nottingham 2nd, Nottingham Trent and Oxford Brookes. The women won this league last year but narrowly missed out on promotion in the drop out rounds. They are looking to continue their winning streak and get promoted this year.
The Men's Seconds team compete in the Midlands 2A league with Cambridge 2nd team, Oxford Brookes, Leicester and Nottingham Trent.
For the first time ever the women will also have a 2nd team. This team is not yet entered in BUCS but will compete in regular friendlies.
