Varsity remains the highlight of the OUWPC calendar, and this year was no exception. The Oxford teams were excited to back to be hosting the 125th Anniversary on home turf, where they delivered some incredible performances.
The day’s results are as follows:
Alumni: Oxford 7-6 Cambridge
Men’s Seconds: Oxford 8-9 Cambridge
Women’s: Oxford 6-7 Cambridge
Men’s Firsts: Oxford 10-7 Cambridge
All the day’s matches were closely fought, with a goal difference in the first three matches.
This year saw an interesting change in the alumni's match set up, with the second and third quarters being all female and all male, respectively.
The teams played their best polo of the season, and we’re very proud of all our player’s performances.
Congratulations to the Men’s firsts for earning the well-deserved title of 2016 Varsity Champions!
